Teddy, Su and Anth

In 2023 I was honoured to be introduced to a really lovely family. Anth, Su and Teddy Burman.

Teddy who is now 12 had one failing kidney and would soon have to go on dialysis.

After many hours, days and weeks spent visiting Leeds hospitals from Barton upon Humber (near Hull) it has been found that Anth, Teddy’s Dad is a kidney match.

On October the 24th the pair will undergo a vital kidney transplant, Anth in St James, Leeds and Teddy in LGI with Su (Mum and wife) being split between the two and staying in a local hotel.

I would like to raise some funds to help cover the travel costs, accommodation and if enough when both are well a break away afterwords for the family.

This is a massive, unbelievable sacrifice for the love for Teddy. Totally inspiring and just hope we can help them all a little in what is going to be a tough journey.

As Anth calls them - ‘The Fab Four’ consisting of great Burman family friends Elaine, Steve and Sue plus Stuart Smith who works in WSBKs, collecting various memorabilia have bent over backwards to help raise funds for the family and have done an incredible job so far.

Even a pound helps - they have to cross the Humber Bridge every hospital visit!
