TEDDY SURVIVED EVERYTHING - NOW WE’RE STRUGGLING TO PAY THE BILL THAT SAVED HIM

We are asking for help because, this time, we genuinely cannot cover Teddy’s bill on our own.

His current outstanding veterinary invoice is 2,551.50 AED (approx 518.78 GBP), even after the clinic very kindly gave us a 1,000 AED discount.

And this is only where the bill stands right now.

Teddy is still at the clinic because we have nowhere safe for him to be discharged to in Dubai, which means the hospitalisation costs continue to increase every single day.

We already have old veterinary bills still waiting to be paid. We have other sick rescues needing treatment. We have food, medication and emergencies constantly coming in.

There simply isn’t enough money left.

And we desperately need help.

TEDDY BEFORE ALL OF THIS

Our rescuer knew Teddy from the area where he lived on the streets.

She had seen him when he was healthy, moving around the neighbourhood and interacting with other community cats.

Then Teddy disappeared.

For a while, nobody saw him.

And when he finally appeared again, he looked completely different.

He had a horrific wound across his cheek and face that had clearly been there for some time.

In the extreme UAE heat, an untreated wound can become infected frighteningly quickly. Add dirt, bacteria, insects and the reality of surviving outside, and something that may once have been treatable can become devastating.

Someone initially picked Teddy up and said they would help him.

But once they realised how serious his condition was and how much veterinary treatment he would need, they backed away.

The responsibility was left with us.

We already had bills.

We already had other rescues.

We already knew we couldn’t afford another huge medical case.

But what were we supposed to do?

Leave him?

We couldn’t.

WHAT TEDDY HAD TO ENDURE

Teddy has now been through more than any little cat should have to experience.

He needed his damaged eye removed.

He needed surgery to repair the wound across his face.

He had bad teeth that needed extracting.

He was neutered.

He needed medication, treatment, monitoring and weeks of hospital care.

His current invoice includes 39 days of hospitalisation.

Thirty-nine days and still going!

And somehow, despite all of this, Teddy has kept fighting.

❤️‍ AND NOW LOOK AT HIM

His cone is finally off.

His face is cleaner.

His wound is healing beautifully.

He is eating.

He is alert.

He is affectionate.

And he has the sweetest little meow.

His remaining eye unfortunately does not have full vision, but it is currently stable and comfortable.

Teddy can still see partially, and he is learning to adapt.

After everything this boy has survived, watching him heal has been incredible.

THE VET SAYS TEDDY CAN LEAVE - but we have nowhere for him to go

Teddy is now medically ready for discharge.

That should have been the best news.

But we currently have no suitable foster space available for him in Dubai.

So Teddy has had to remain at the clinic.

Not because he needs intensive hospital treatment anymore.

But because we simply do not have a safe place to put him.

And every additional day adds more money to a bill we already cannot afford.

This is what is frightening us now.

We need to pay the clinic.

We still have older bills outstanding.

We still have other cats depending on us.

And we cannot keep stretching money that simply isn’t there.

WE REALLY, REALLY NEED YOUR HELP

We understand that 2,551.50 AED may not sound enormous when converted into some currencies.

But for a small independent rescue already carrying unpaid medical bills, it is a huge amount.

And Teddy’s bill is still increasing.

Rescue is never just one cat.

While we are trying to pay Teddy’s treatment, another animal gets sick.

Another kitten is found.

Another emergency happens.

Another invoice arrives.

We keep trying to somehow make it work, but right now we are overwhelmed.

So we are asking - genuinely pleading - for help.

If you can give £2, £5, £10, or anything at all, please know it matters.

Small donations add up.

They really do.

And if you cannot donate, please share Teddy’s fundraiser.

One share can reach someone we could never reach ourselves.

TEDDY HAS ALREADY DONE THE HARD PART

He survived the streets.

He survived the infection.

He survived the surgery.

He survived losing an eye.

He survived weeks and weeks in hospital.

He is still here.

Still trusting people.

Still healing.

Still waiting for the safe life he should have had all along.

We just need help paying for the care that got him this far.

Please help us cover Teddy’s bill and keep going for him. ❤️

Current outstanding invoice: 2,551.50 AED

This amount will continue to rise while Teddy remains hospitalised.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donates, shares, follows Teddy’s journey or simply cares about what happens to him.

We genuinely could not keep doing this without you.
