Teddy is a 10-year-old female Shih Tzu, and she has been living with me since she was two months old. For 10 years, she has been a constant part of my family, my daily companion, and my little shadow.
Yesterday, everything suddenly turned into a nightmare.
Teddy started vomiting, had a high fever, was trembling, and became weaker and weaker. We immediately rushed her to a veterinary clinic. There, we received the devastating diagnosis: a severe uterine infection (pyometra) with sepsis.
The veterinarians had to perform emergency surgery immediately to save her life.
During the operation, it turned out that her uterus had already ruptured and was filled with pus. The doctors did everything they could to remove the infection and save Teddy.
She is now in the intensive care unit, where she is being monitored around the clock. The next few days are critical.
Teddy is not “just a dog.”
She is family. She has been by my side for 10 years.
Unfortunately, the emergency surgery and intensive treatment have resulted in veterinary costs of around €9,000, which I can hardly manage on my own.
That’s why I am asking for help from the bottom of my heart.
Every small donation can help Teddy get through this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign would mean so much.
Thank you to everyone who gives Teddy a chance.
