❤️ TEDDY’S FINAL JOURNEY - ONE LAST HURDLE BEFORE HIS FOREVER HOME! ❤️

WE HAVE JUST ONE WEEK TO RAISE THE FUNDS FOR TEDDY’S POSSIBLE FLIGHT ON 8TH OCTOBER!

After everything our beautiful boy has survived, we are finally so close to giving him the happy ending he deserves.

TEDDY HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN ADOPTED! ❤️

His forever family is waiting for him in the UK. They are ready to welcome him with open arms, knowing everything he has been through, including his special needs and partial eyesight.

But we have one final hurdle to overcome.

We need to raise the remaining funds to get Teddy home. And unfortunately, time is running out.

TEDDY’S STORY - HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Teddy is only around two years old, yet he has already endured more suffering than any animal should experience in an entire lifetime.

Soua’d knew Teddy from the streets of Dubai. She remembered him as a healthy young cat, going about his life alongside the other community cats.

Then he disappeared.

When he eventually resurfaced, the condition he was in was absolutely heartbreaking. He had suffered a horrific facial injury that had been left untreated for far too long.

Imagine being a young cat, injured, frightened and exposed to the relentless Dubai heat, unable to understand why you are suffering or where to turn for help.

Someone initially picked him up, intending to help, but when the extent of his injuries and the cost of treatment became clear, they could no longer proceed.

And suddenly, Teddy’s future was uncertain once again.

What were we supposed to do? Leave him to suffer? We simply couldn't.

Despite our tiny rescue already struggling with enormous veterinary expenses and countless other cats depending on us, we took responsibility for Teddy.

We knew his recovery would be difficult, lengthy and expensive. But he deserved a chance.

And what a fighter he turned out to be. ❤️

HE LOST AN EYE, BUT NEVER HIS WILL TO LIVE

Teddy needed extensive veterinary treatment, including surgery to remove his severely damaged eye, facial wound reconstruction, dental treatment and prolonged hospitalisation.

His remaining eye has partial vision, meaning Teddy will always be a special-needs kitty who requires a little extra understanding and patience.

But none of that has stopped him from showing us what an extraordinary little boy he is.

Despite the unimaginable pain he experienced, Teddy has remained gentle, affectionate and incredibly trusting.

His adorable little squeaky meow, his sweetness and his determination to recover have completely stolen our hearts.

He has fought so hard to get here.

And now, after spending so long recovering inside a veterinary clinic, somebody has finally chosen him. ❤️

Not despite his missing eye.

Not despite his partial vision.

But because they see Teddy for the beautiful little soul he is.

His wonderful adopter has welcomed every part of him and is patiently waiting to give him the permanent, loving home he has deserved all along.

We cannot begin to describe what that means to us. ❤️

✈️ SO CLOSE TO HOME…BUT ANOTHER SETBACK

Just as we began preparing Teddy for his journey, he developed a mild case of ringworm while staying at the veterinary clinic.

Thankfully, treatment is underway and his vet is pleased with his progress.

However, we cannot take any chances with his health, especially when preparing him for international travel.

** Teddy will now be assessed by his vet daily, and we hope to make a final decision by the end of this week about whether he can safely travel on 8th October. **

If he needs additional recovery time, we will postpone his journey. Teddy’s welfare will always come first, no matter how desperately we want to see him home.

His adopter has been absolutely wonderful and fully supports whatever decision is safest for him. Whether he travels on the 8th or a later date, his family will be waiting. ❤️

ONE WEEK. ONE POSSIBLE FLIGHT. ONE FINAL APPEAL.

Here is where we desperately need your help.

Our relocation company, which we have worked with for many years, has been incredibly understanding of Teddy’s circumstances.

Because of our longstanding relationship and the trust we have built together, they have kindly given us ** until the end of this week to confirm whether Teddy can take the 8th October flight **.

They have also been understanding about our fundraising situation and the time needed to arrange the transfer of funds.

We are enormously grateful for their kindness and flexibility.

But this leaves us with very little time.

If Teddy receives veterinary clearance and can travel on 8th October, we need to have the remaining relocation funds ready.

His adopter is already contributing towards his relocation, but the full cost of arranging his journey from Dubai to the UK is considerably higher.

As a tiny rescue, we must raise the remaining amount ourselves.

And we are already facing ongoing expenses from Teddy’s extended stay at the veterinary clinic, his additional ringworm treatment and the other rescued cats who depend on us every single day.

There simply isn't enough money available to cover everything without additional help.

That is why we are launching this urgent fundraiser specifically for Teddy’s journey home.

If his vet decides that he needs longer to recover, any money raised here will remain dedicated to his relocation when he is medically ready to travel.

We will not put him on a plane until his vet is satisfied that he is ready.

We know there are so many animals desperately needing help and so many people struggling financially.
