I am humbled in writing this. As most of you know I was medically retired from my AGR job and am 100% disabled. I suffer from a variety of health issues as well.

For those of you that know me, I have had horses my entire life. Teddy and Tinker have been with me for a long time now and are both elderly horses. Teddy is 25 and Tinker 26. Both are retired as well and can no longer be ridden. I am not one of those people that toss away an animal because it’s old. They start with me and will end out their lives with me. Both of my guys are on medications for ulcers. Teddy is also on arthritis and thyroid medication. The medications cost just under $300 a month. Add the food into that and it’s another $200 a month.

Last fall Teddy was really sick and I have not been able to catch up financially. I’m completely stressed out. I need help with buying their meds and food. I will need to get a load of hay in 2 weeks. It’s cheaper to get it in bulk and straight from the field. That alone is $1200 and I am almost out.
