On Christmas day fire broke out in my mother, Teddi Winn's, condo in Waterford, NY. She shares the building with an upstairs tenant where the fire started, and quickly spread. Luckily, no one was home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.
The fire was contained to the 2nd floor, but Teddi's 1st floor apartment suffered very bad smoke and water damage. Teddi does not have renters insurance and will have to replace nearly all of her furniture, clothing, electronics and many other possessions that were damaged, as well as moving expenses.
Our family would like to thank the brave, selfless, firemen from Waterford, Mechanicville, Boght and Colonie, that risked their lives on Christmas day to put the fire out and save what they could. We are eternally grateful.
Anyone who knows Teddi, knows she is a beautiful, kind and loving person. Please help if you can.
