If you’ve spent time enjoying live music around Santa Cruz, you’ve probably heard Ted Welty — an incredible singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music has brought joy to so many people over the years.
After surgery last November, Ted spent nearly three months recovering. Unfortunately, he needed another surgery on February 24th, which means he now has to start the healing process all over again and will be unable to perform for about eight more weeks.
For someone who normally plays five or more gigs every week, this means a major loss of income while he focuses on recovery.
Many of you also know that Ted and his partner Krissy have already faced enormous challenges following Krissy’s life-changing accident. Through it all, this community has shown incredible support — and it meant the world to them.
