Like most you who are fortunate to know Ted, I was distraught to hear of his medical emergency and was later overjoyed to learn of his recovery so far.  Ted recently survived a brain aneurysm, blod clot, brain bleed, and stroke within 48 hours.   He is now undergoing physical therapy to recover from partial paralysis in his left leg.  In Ted fashion, he is still in high spirits and maintains that positive attitude we all know too well.

     As many of you know, there are financial costs and burdens with this kind of recovery.  Ted was fortunate to have most, if not all of his medical expenses covered to date, but there are other costs associated with this kind of recovery.  Loss of income, home and self care, costs to remodel his home for wheel chair accessibility, etc.  
 
    The goal of this GoFundMe is to provide Ted some financial cushion so he can focus on his recovery.  I am not sure if the $20k goal is too much or too little, but we can always adjust.  If you would prefer to contribute in other ways, please do.  A close friend has already offered his carpentry services to help remodel Ted's home.  These kind of services are just as important (if not more) in helping Ted with his recovery.

     All money donated (less GoFundMe's 5% fee) will go to Ted.  We also are looking into organizing a function in Porterville to further support our dear friend.
