On August 25, 2022 my Uncle Teddy (Theodore S. O'Donnell) passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on his way home from work.
My Uncle Teddy is survived by his loving wife and two young children.
That night as both his girls were eagerly waiting for him to come home, they watched his unmoving icon on Life 360, fearing the worst with each passing minute.
It was a time I will never forget, knowing it would never be the same; I couldn't bring myself to tell them, "It's going to be okay."
My Aunt Deavon has always been a strong woman. Three years ago, our family rallied around her as she awaited a life-saving organ transplant.
But that doesn't compare to the strength I watched her gather to tell her girls that their daddy wasn't ever coming home.
As the rest of us are hosting and attending Labor Day functions, shopping for school and preparing for the next chapter of our lives, my Aunt and cousins are preparing for a life without their father and husband.
Uncle Teddy was the love of my Aunt Deavon's life-they have been with each other since they were 17 and faced every obstacle life threw at them together.
Please help my family in any way you can. We are doing what we can to help ease the emotional and financial burden of this tragic and sudden loss.
Any support would be greatly appreciated and would go towards the memorial service and related expenses- and truly help my family transition smoothly from the unexpected loss of income.
