There wasn't an appropriate category for this fundraiser... because true to Ted & Julie's outlook on life, we're not helping out with something sad, we're helping out to make the time they have left together one big celebration of love and life.

Ted and Julie met 10 years ago and their love for each other is magic. I work with Julie and most recently Ted sent a lovely hamper to Julie at work, with the cutest words to make her feel loved and appreciated.

Julie sent an email to all staff last week which broke our hearts...

"Hello All, I am extremely sad to advise, my partner Ted has just recently been diagnosed with end-stage terminal brain cancer, having many inoperable brain tumors. We only have a little time remaining, so I will be taking leave now to spend this time with him. Please say a few prayers for his comfortable transition... Live every day to the fullest!!"

And Ted? Well, Ted has a big heart. He reminds us that... "Life is not about the ticking of the clock. A million more hours of life would still never be enough to do everything I would love to do with each of you. Or to get to the so-many-more places to see; things to do; books to read; movies to watch; things to learn; smiles, laughter, tears… So it’s not about the clock, it’s about how we treat that little space in between each tick that makes life count. Quality not quantity. As such, with the time I have I intend to spend as much of it over the coming weeks with family and friends – loving, laughing, playing, resting, swimming, walking and holding a couple of events to create happy memories before I go."

So let's help them make the most of this time together. Give big. The money will go direct to Julie for whatever they need/want.

And we'll hug like crazy for you Ted.
