Ted has a broken heart and needs your help

Hi all my name is Sarah. I have started this GoFundMe page for my beloved dog and best friend, Ted.

Sadly, Ted is very unwell. He went into acute congestive heart failure about a month ago because of his chordae tendinae (important structures in his heart) abruptly rupturing. As a result, he now has a grade V/VI heart murmur and is in stage C of mitrial valve disease. The average life expectancy for this condition is 9-12 months. Ted is only 8 years old.

It's hard to express how vital a companion is during times of isolation, stress and/or loneliness. I'm sure sadly a lot of us have experienced those times in our lives. Ted has always been my loyal, loving and dependable companion during my most difficult times. His unconditional love, awareness, and loyalty has always been there for me and for the first time in his life, I really need to there for him. His one chance of survival is one particular surgery that is only performed in two veterinary hospitals in the UK. The surgical cost is in the region of 15,000£ due to the understandable level of expertise, skill and care required. Despite Ted being insured, it only covers a fraction of the cost.
