My husband and best friend, Theodore Grimm, came down with a bad cold in early 2020. After initially checking him for pneumonia, further tests were ordered including an x-ray which found a spot in one of his lungs. A CT scan confirmed the mass and an ensuing biopsy confirmed that it was cancer. After a multitude of tests and procedures, Ted had two operations. The first was to remove the upper left lobe which resulted in a blood clot that hampered the reliability of the lower lobe. A second surgery removed the lower lobe leaving Ted with one lung and a long road to recovery (as of this writing, Ted is still in the ICU at California Pacific Medical Center in SF).
Someone asked me the other day what would be most helpful while Ted is fighting cancer. The biggest worry Ted has is making sure his family has what they need in his absence. Any donations received are greatly appreciated and will go towards Ted's recovery including hospital bills, medication, rent, groceries and other necessities.
Thank you and God bless,
Michelle
