From dreams to desperation. Help us to survive in Gaza
Donation protected

I am Noemi, an Italian girl based in London and I am helping a friend to leave Gaza. This is his message for you: I know you've probably heard many similar stories, and you're likely tired of hearing the same narrative repeatedly, for six months or even longer. By the time we manage to escape Gaza, we may already be dead. But I believe it's worth trying for my family, for my injured brother, and for my father, who lost his life while searching for our food. My name is Moamen Adham Rafiq. I was a student of accounting at Al-Azhar University. I once had dreams, a home, and a normal life like everyone else, but everything around me has been destroyed—my past, my present, and my future. I've lost the most important person in my life, and I'm at risk of losing what's left. I now live in a tent, and we've lost our main source of income. We're struggling to endure this endless pain, but I'm striving to remain positive, to keep dreaming big as I once did.
With this fundraising effort, I hope to help my family leave Gaza, to have the chance to continue my studies, and to provide a brighter future for my family—to make my father, who sacrificed everything, proud of me. I understand you may have heard this story many times, and I know you can't help everyone, but even a small contribution could make a significant difference for me. Every life is worth fighting for, and I refuse to give up.
