Calling All iPads!
Battle Academy is a magnet/art school located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Our children come from low socio-economic, frequently trauma-based/broken homes. They are often affected by poverty and gang violence.
Technology is a rare and treasured privilege. In our classroom, we currently have two (barely working) computers to share among 22 students. The gap in learning with and without technology is vast.
It is my dream and goal to raise the money to purchase 12 ipads. Our students would use them daily to research, complete studies, read, listen to books and experience a technology inspired classroom.
Thank you,

Calling all Chromebooks!
Hess Academy is a small, diverse private school in Decatur, GA. It's a magical place, one in which I am beyond thankful to be a part.
My middle school students come from a variety of behavioral, learning, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. Regardless of their differences, I am amazed at the ways they enter into community with one another, navigating the world and who they are as a multifarious group.
These are children who hate missing school. These are children I have come to intimately know, love, and celebrate because of our small class sizes.
While we have immense relational and professional resources, our technology is limited. Our school of 75 shares 10 iPads. Technology would help to type and edit essays, research relevant topics, or interact with engaging online resources.
10 Chromebooks would completely alter their experience.
Any contribution toward this goal would be appreciated beyond measure. The average price of a sustainable Chromebooks is ~$200. Thank you for considering and know you will be making an incredible difference in our classroom!
Thank you,
