Tech The Halls 2019

Tax deductible
Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing medical and adaptive technology to people living with muscular dystrophy diseases. In recent years, we have given over $200,000 in vital equipment that has changed hundreds of lives across the country. Our unwavering goal is to provide devices that improve the health, comfort, and productivity for our clients, and as you’ll see in the stories below, that’s exactly what you’re helping us accomplish with our Tech The Halls campaign this year!

What is Tech The Halls?

Besides being an incredibly catchy name, Tech The Halls is a yearly tradition that was created by YOU, our supporters. The purpose is to provide free adaptive technology to people affected by muscular dystrophy, like iPads and Amazon Echos. With your help this year, we are giving away technology grants to 12 people who have applied for a device that will improve their daily comfort, function, and ability! Please check out a few of their stories below, and consider making a pledge to help change their lives in a positive way!

Meet Izabella
Izabella absolutely loves piano music, and she is learning to use her fingers to play the piano by herself! She watches countless videos on YouTube on how to play the piano, and practicing has helped her fine tune her motor skills. Tech The Halls provided Izabella with an iPad to help her continue to listen to music and learn more!

Meet Pearl
Pearl enjoys adaptive water-skiing. In fact, she’s hoping to join the National US Disabled Water Ski Team in the years to come. She is also a public speaker, giving presentations that aim to change the narrative about living with a disability and address the misconceptions that those living with disabilities face all the time. Tech The Halls provided Pearl with a Samsung Galaxy S4 to help her continue with disability education and sharing her knowledge with other people in the community.

Meet Tommy
Tommy is 18 and loves puzzles, bowling, card games, video games, and board games. Tommy’s dream is to one day go to a Nascar race and continue spreading awareness about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Tech the Halls provided Tommy with a Galaxy Tablet to help him with school, and for entertainment during hospital stays.

Meet Daniel
Daniel wants to learn coding, so that one day he can achieve his dream career of being a video game creator. We asked Daniel why he wants to create video games, and he responded: “I want to make stuff that will make other kids happy too.” Tech the Halls provided Daniel with an iPad Air that he can use to begin learning coding and working towards his awesome goals in life!

If you are able, please consider making a donation today so that we can continue changing lives with adaptive technology! Thank you so much for your generosity!
