Tecate Children Boarding School-Organic Gardening

Hello, I'm Gerard, currently fundraising for a ministry in Tecate Mexico focused on children, orphans, the impoverished, and the marginalized. Our goal is to assist with construction and operating costs for "Seeds of Life", formerly 'Gardens of Mercy', a Boarding School for girls and an Educational Center for boys/girls with a focus on nutrition, organic horticulture, and permaculture.

Seeds of Life provides social services and spiritual nourishment to entire families, particularly those going through a traumatic life transition. They provide community economic development assistance and training to the marginalized and indigent of the Tecate/Tijuana metros. Seeds of Life is creating a “culture of love and ecology” as a quasi-type of Boarding School and Spiritual Center for retreats and workshops inspired by the Encyclical Laudato Si, "on care for our common home" for vulnerable families.

The ministry is an ecological environment for dysfunctional and low-income families to more richly experience the Holy Trinity’s support, healing, and restoration trough nature. Their goal is to promote healthy nutritional habits while sharing the love of Jesus through the experience of His creation. They are located on a 5-acre site of a previous mental hospital in a country setting on the outskirts of Tecate, about 50 miles from San Diego, CA.
