Hi my name is Michelle and I’m Desmond’s mom. I want to start off by saying that we wouldn’t be asking for help if it weren’t absolutely necessary, and we don’t take it lightly. However, we need help and don’t know what else to do. We just found out that due to months of a chronic ear infections, Desmond will have to undergo TECA surgery. This is a Total Ear Canal Ablation. Due to the chronic ear infection his ear has calcified and if they do not remove the entire inner ear it could lead to abscessing and cancer. He is now showing signs of discomfort and it’s becoming harder to just put off, he’s our baby and we can’t stand him being in pain. The surgery is going to cost around $10,000. Also, due to myself having recent brain surgery, being self employed and not working during my recovery, things are financially very tight at the moment.
