Heyyy there, our names are Jan and Alessia. We are both students in the Region Bern. Recently we adopted a 6 week old Kitten that got abandoned on my parents farm. First everything seemed fine. But as we soon discovered there is more to the hanging little ear. The kitten which we named luna, started scratching herself all around the ear. First we thought its a skin infection or maybe even a fungus. But as we discovered, our little friend doesnt own an ear canal. Due to the pain that comes from this congenital issue she scraches herself bloody, as soon as she doesnt wear the ,,cone of shame''. Wearing that cone for the rest of her life isnt a solution, which is why she needs to undergo a TECA. Its an surgery where they take out the middle ear canal, which is blocked, so the pain goes away. The rest of the ear will be left like it is. But as you can imagine surgeries like these are quite expensive, why we are kindly asking for your help.
