Help Abdullah and his family survive Gaza War

Hello humans of the world,

I’m Abdullah Abu Shouqa, a Palestinian civil engineer. Two years ago, I graduated from the University of Palestine and underwent various trainings in several companies until I secured a job with a leading construction company in Gaza.

As a responsible young man in Gaza, I was preparing to start a family. I started saving money for building a house, the dowry and other wedding arrangements.

However, I didn’t secure the right amount of money so I borrowed some money to cover the cost of my marriage.

I built an appartment above of my extended family and furnished it and prepared it to be our home .

I married with Marwa who graduated from the software engineering department at Al-Azhar University. Marwa finished her five-year studies in only four, full of ambition and waiting for the moment she would be appointed as an assistant lecturer at Al-Azhar University.

Our life was almost perfect and we were happy with it , but sadly it didn't last long.

Barely a month after our marriage, the war came on October 7th, and that's when our lives turned upside down. I lost my job as a civil engineer because the company shut down, and all aspects of life came to a halt. My wife, who was full of ambition, saw her university bombarded, and the flames of hope extinguished from her eyes.

With the intensification of the bombing, we decided to leave our home and evacuate to places rumoured to be safe, but the truth is, there's no safe place in Gaza. We fled seven times, from one place to another, then we decided to return home, only to find it in ruins and inappropriate for living.

We found my father's house was burnt, and our garden, which used to be our escape from the noise of life, was destroyed. As for my apartment, it was nothing but rubble, and all our belongings were shattered.

Our life became a nightmare and there is no way to recover from all what we have gone through and retrieve what we have lost.

Now, I’m worried for my family safety and want to secure a safe life for them. We decided to evacuate gaza to egypt urgently.

I kindly ask you to help in evacuating my family of six .

Me and my wife Marwa, my father Bassam and mother Reem , my sister Abeer, and my youngest brother Ayman .

The fees for evacuating adults costs 5K USD.

The money will cover the evacuation fees and living expenses in Egypt for 6 months.
