Chris and I met while serving with the Seabees in California.  Fast foward 1 year, Brooke was in residency in Bethesda when she got that call no one wants to take: "can you write me a letter of recommendation?"  It was Chris and he was applying to schools and, of course, he was asking for a favor at the most inconvenient moment.  
Just kidding. It was the most incredibly inconvenient moment.

Well, one thing led to another and Brooke dragged Chris to Zac Brown Band concert knowing how much he hates country music.  Because let's be honest, we all know besides Brooke's favorite past-time of dressing up her pugs and posting the embarassing photos on Instagram, her love of watching those she loves suffer through painful moments is another sick pleasure of hers.

(If you are one of Brooke's current or former patients, disregard that last part). 

Well, now these two crazies have decided to get married and are so excited for everyone to be there.  Actually, we're more stoked for the look on everyone's face when they see Chris as he's perfected his homeless look after getting out of the military. 

Being in the military, we are probably going to be moving every 2-3 years and since Brooke whines about packing every time a move comes up, Chris came up with the brilliant idea of "no gifts" for the wedding.  (Chris contributed that sentence to entire monologue).  
Given we love camping and can use this when moving, we ask instead of gifts to just contribute to our fund.  Besides, we didn't bother registering anywhere anyways.
