Hi, my name is Chelsea Bleau and I am making this fundraiser on behalf of Teanna Russell.

When Teanna was 14, they were diagnosed with epilepsy and were able to get their seizures under control after a 2-week hospitalization. The medication Teanna took for her epilepsy helped, however, epilepsy medication is hard on the body and comes with many side effects. Their medication was changed over the years to help relieve these side effects. After 9 years, the seizures started again with a vengeance; Teanna was having multiple seizures a night. Teanna started to become medication resistant, which means no matter what medication Teanna would try, they continued to have seizures. They are currently on 4 different medications to minimize the frequency of seizures, despite there being no relief. They have been battling this disability for 5 years now. Teanna's last resort is brain surgery, and it is very important they have the surgery as soon as possible.

Teanna is the strongest person many of us are blessed to know. They keep going no matter want and always find humour in everything. Teanna has many aspirations and dreams despite everything, so let's all support Teanna in living their life to the fullest!

This fundraiser will help raise money for medical and travelling expenses as Teanna needs to go out of province to have this life-changing surgery.

Saskatchewan does not have enough specialists or resources to give Teanna the help they need. The Saskatchewan government has also refused to cooperate in funding more resources for epilepsy patients, which impacts many people living with epilepsy in our province. Due to this, any money that is not used for Teanna's expenses will be donated to help fund epilepsy resources in Saskatoon at Royal University Hospital.
