Chris West Ewing Sarcoma Fund
Donation protected
Hello All,
My best friend, Chris West, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. Chris spent every summer on Martha's Vineyard until the 7th grade when he and his family moved to West Tisbury. Once he was able to drive he joined the fire department and began giving back to the community that gave him so much. A few months ago he was promoted to lieutenant on the West Tisbury Fire Department. Chris spends his time as a carpenter, friend, son, brother, dog dad, and above all being loved deeply by so many.
Over the next 12 months he will be traveling off island to Mass General Hospital every 2 weeks for chemotherapy, possible radiation, and follow ups with his oncology team. The hope is that the chemotherapy will shrink the tumor he has located near his spine so that it can be operable. I am asking that you donate any amount you can to him and his family who will be taking care of him. Your donations will go towards easing the burden of:
Food, out of pocket medical expenses, utility bills, medical bills for his beloved pup Stella, traveling by boat, car, (he will use Angel Flight when available) to and from the hospital in Boston, and any unexpected needs that may occur related to his diagnosis. We will be taking advantage of as many financial assistance programs as possible as well.
