In July of 2011 Tammy Thaxton was diagnosed with colon cancer. In June 2013 they found it had spread to her lungs and in May 2015 they found a small spot in her abdomen. As of July 2015 she had suffered:
#1,460 days of cancer
#100 chemotherapy treatments
#25 radiation treatments
#200 bone burning shots to boost white blood cell count
#2 surgeries
And she is still smiling as she continues the fight. They have run out of options with traditional chemotherapy drugs and she has even developed an allergy to some, so now the fight will continue with clinical trials (if she qualifies) or other options found.
