My sister-in-law, Shonda Elliott, is a Mom to three awesome kids! She is only 41 years old. She works as a warranty clerk at Camping World in London, next to her husband, Shawn who is the service manager. In late May she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer with matastecis in her bones, liver, and lungs. Despite this devastating news Shonda is still much more concerned about her family than herself. She is upbeat most of the time, has a very positive attitude, and a very high pain tolerance. She is trying to appreciate every day that she feels good! She has started treatment at the Springfield Cancer Center. Since she is stage four the goal of the treatment at this time is to attempt to stop the growth of the cancer and not allow it to progress any further for as long as possible. As you can imagine, the unknowns are the hardest for her to deal with. Length of life left? What treatment will work? How long will I feel like working? What will I do when I can't work? How are we going to pay for the treatments that insurance doesn't cover 100% of? And the list is eternal. Obviously, Shawn and the kids are struggling as well. I will be having a fundraiser for Shonda in a couple of months. For now, I want to open this Go Fund Me page so that if anyone wishes to contribute to her prior to the fundraiser that they can do so easily.
