This is my daughter Ricci. She is a beautiful, amazing young woman who has been dealt a rough hand. At the age of seventeen she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Luckily by the time she hit eighteen she was diagnosed cancer free. She was told she would never have children, and by the grace of God, 2012, she was blessed with her beautiful daughter Eden. Though, Ricci's luck hadn't lasted very long. Last year in 2014, after a root canal, Ricci began getting random numbness in her limbs. After going to the hospital, she was diagnosed with Guillian-Barré Syndrome. Again, Ricci was fighting for her life. Completely paralysed, head to toe, in the hospital. With love from her family, and the encouraging smile from her daughter, Ricci was walking and smiling again. Now, a year later, our Ricci is once again fighting. After fifty pounds of weight loss, months of pain, nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, they found several enlarged lymph nodes in Ricci's abdomen and along her spine. After an MRI, CT scan, biopsy, and laproscopic surgery to remove the largest lymph node to biopsy it, they diagnosed Ricci with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Ricci's currently been going to appointments nearly everyday, doing tests every day to prepare herself for chemo that starts August 17th. Because of the Guillian-barre, and now the Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Ricci hasn't been able to work to help take care of her family.
