TeamQMGS 'run' a Half Marathon for Changing Faces

We are a team of teachers, a librarian and a Quality Manager (for a heat treatment company) who are running the Alton Towers Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for Changing Faces - https://www.changingfaces.org.uk/about-visible-difference/

We all work with a lovely, resilient student who has a condition which will lead to him developing a visible difference and we want to raise money to support Changing Faces, and awareness within school amongst his peers of the challenges he will face as a teenage boy navigating society, where so much emphasis is placed upon physical appearance.

One of our team has a family member who has Apert's Syndrome - a genetic condition resulting in a physical difference. The support and encouragement offered by Changing Faces has been invaluable in increasing confidence and self-esteem and allowing her to be proud of who she is. This is what we hope for our student.
