Olga, a mother, wife, sister, daughter, tia and grandmother, was recently diagnosed with Myeloid Leukemia, a cancer that affects blood cells. This diagnosis has brought a series of challenges, including the appearance of tumors that she has been able to treat in the past with surgeries. However, during her last visit for treatment in Juarez, Mexico, Olga experienced a series of complications that left her unstable and unable to return home to the United States. The hospital in Mexico is working tirelessly to stabilize her, providing frequent blood transfusions and cancer treatment procedures. Their goal is to get Olga strong enough to be transferred to the United States, where she can receive the long-term care and specialized treatment she needs.
The current medical bills include payment for these blood transfusions and cancer treatments, but we know this is just the beginning of the expenses our family will face. The funds raised through this campaign will first cover the immediate medical costs for Olga's blood transfusions and cancer treatment.
Looking ahead, we anticipate additional expenses for transportation to a facility in the United States, ongoing cancer treatment, and other medical needs. We are actively exploring options for future support, such as cancer programs and healthcare coverage, but the urgent priority is paying for the treatments that are keeping Olga stable right now.
If you are A+ blood type, donating blood at the clinic in Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico would be a tremendous help—our family is happy to assist with transportation to and from the clinic. We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer. Your contribution, whether financial, through blood donation, or help with resources will help Olga get the care she needs and bring hope to our family during this difficult time.
Thank you for reading this story and for any support you can offer in your circumstance—it means more than you know.
