Lillian Denise Hinojosa was born on 9-25-2014
Proud Parents Maggie & Carlos Hinojosa along with Big Brother William were very excited for her arrival.
Lilly was born in Katy Texas at Memorial Herman Hospital and while the DR's and Nurses's were great in Katy, she felt as though she needed a change of scenery - and was moved to NICU in the MedCenter. Of COURSE like any HINOJOSA her arrival to the MedCenter did not go unnoticed, and not just because of her beautiful smile and beautiful hair!!! She unlike most newborns had her first car ride in style, surrounded by many strong men and women in an Ambulance. Thankfully after arriving she began on her journey to put in long hours and efforts to learning to feed by bottle vs by her feeding tube. Lilly has a team dedicated to her journey with an Occupational Therapist who helps teach her how to feed and use a paci, while another set of physical therapists help with the movement in her arms and legs. Day by day she's getting stronger and continues to amaze. Carlos & Maggie are forever grateful for the help at home and at the hospital from family and friend's - Maggie's Mom (Barbara) and Carlos's Mom (Mary) are just a few to name that help with day and night duties with William and Lilly during this time. Maggie tries to spend most of her day's in NICU feeding, snuggling and telling Lilly how much she is loved by this great big world outside of NICU while Carlos is at the office making shit happen (LOL, edits from TIA MIA - opps) and helping at home hold down the fort. Sweet Lilly has entered into this world with an army of love from all of the families that surround her along with such amazing friends both near and far. I hope to post daily if not a few times a week, updates on sweet Lilly along with a picture or two. Although we are excited for the small advancements thus far, we know that the Dr's think Lilly will remain in NICU for another few weeks.
Please continue to say prayers for Lillian Denise as each one matters more than words can express. We hope that sooner than later we can rejoice and say Sweet Girl Today - you get to go home... It's Time To Celebrate!
Lastly, many have reached out and asked how you can help the family - if you would like to donate money direct on this site it will help with a dinner or two, gas to/from the hospital from Katy/Houston and or parking at Memorial Herman. From the bottom of our families hearts we thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers and comments on this blog.
