For Baby Kira

Leukemia.


A word we all hope to never hear in our lifetime - especially with direct association to our own lives. As of recently little Kira has been diagnosed with the disease. It shocked and shook the family (initially) but they are all fighters. As vicious of a disease that it may be- we know Kira (with the help of amazing staff and her warrior parents, prayers from EVERYONE will overcome). It's been said that her treatment will consist of chemotherapy and other various treatments that will take its toll on her tiny body over the course of the next year. With "mommy and daddy" expecting a new bundle of love and joy (soon) and Kira's older siblings the stresses of maintaining day to day requirements and responsibility will become harder and harder. In their time of need I am reaching out to those that know the family and those who may not to assist with helping the family through this difficult time and allowing them to focus more on Kira and her recovery than the additional stresses of life. Kira's dad and I became friends in the military and have remained friends - which is how and why I am asking everyone who may read this to extend a helping hand.
