Kayden was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart syndrome. He has had two open heart surgeries Where he wasn’t home with his family for the first 7 months of his life. But eventually he came home and was living a very beautiful, fun, happy life for 2 years strong!!! He’s now 3 Years Old! On July 22, 2019 a tragedy happened. I picked him up from his grandmas. Kayden had seemed just fine. Talking and dancing like usual. After going up the steps into the house Kayden had suffered a stroke which leaded to a cardiac arrest. I tried CPR while his step dad was on the phone with 911. I could not bring Kayden back to life. The paramedics came and even after they had tried CPR & everything else that they could they couldn’t bring him back to life. The whole ride to Anderson Hospital Kayden Was not breathing nor was his heart beating. After about 5 mins in the ER waiting room they had came and told me that his heart is back beating !!! I hugged that doctor so tight and said thank you. But due to the fact Kayden was out for 20-30 mins he suffered brain injuries because he wasn’t getting blood flow/oxygen to his brain.  His heart has suffered more injuries and the pump of his heart isn’t pumping blood through his heart like it should not to forget he doesn’t have a left ventricle. It has now been a week and Kayden still is on life support and hasn’t woke up. He’s moving a little but the doctors says it’s unintentionally. Doctors doesn’t know exactly what damages he’ll have when he wakes up. But they do know that if he does it’s a long rode to recovery. Cardiac wise they’re giving me the choice of pulling the plug or letting his heart survive off of IV medications and hopefully his heart will recovers from that. They’re not even sure that will even work. Of course We’re  not leaving his side until we know If he will survive this tragedy or not. I (Kaydens Mom) Is currently 26 weeks pregnant and my spouse is currently a junior in college and trying to finish up school while experiencing the worst thing that could’ve happened to us !
