For Kate – She is Not Fighting Alone
Kate moves through life with a gentle strength—the kind that doesn’t demand attention but is deeply felt by everyone lucky enough to know her. She listens before she speaks. She learns before she leads. She creates with patience, precision, and care, whether perfecting a recipe as a baker or planning her next adventure.
And now, life has asked her to be strong in a way no one should ever have to be.
At just 23 years old, Kate has been diagnosed with Stage IV invasive ductal carcinoma—an aggressive form of breast cancer.
In an instant, everything changed.
Kate and her boyfriend, Adam, had built a life they loved in Duluth—working side by side at New Scenic Café, where they met, fell in love, and spent their days creating beautiful food together. They filled their time with exploring, traveling, cooking, dreaming of what’s next. Together with their puppy, Otto, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, adventure, and love.
But now, instead of planning their next journey, they’ve had to leave behind their home, their jobs, and everything familiar to move to Fargo, where Kate is beginning 18 weeks of chemotherapy at the Edith Sanford Breast Specialty Clinic.
So much is uncertain. The road ahead will be long, and the outcome is unknown.
But here’s what hasn’t changed:
- Her resilience.
- Her love for Adam, Otto, and the life they’ve built together.
- The way she radiates warmth, even on the hardest days.
- And most importantly—she is not alone.
How We Can Help:
Cancer is not just a battle of the body—it is a battle of time, energy, and financial weight. With medical costs, travel expenses, and lost income, Kate and Adam should not have to worry about anything except getting through this together.
If you can, please donate…allow Kate and Adam to focus on what matters most—her health, her healing, and their future.
If donating isn’t possible, please share. If nothing else, send love. Send encouragement. Let Kate feel the strength of her village standing beside her.
She is strong—but together, we can make her even stronger.
