This scholarship was founded to honor John M. Devlin, Jr to help students attend college who have suffered the loss of a loved one to cancer.
Our amazing J-Pa, as he is lovingly referred to, cherished everything about his children and grandchildren, including their education. He proudly attended all of their sporting events and lovingly shared in his grandchildren’s school work. He carefully listened to every detail they shared about their educational experiences. J-Pa was a well-educated man and a professor for many years. He could often be overheard sharing the importance of education with others. His passion for education was passed onto his two children, who both became teachers. In addition to his tremendous kindness, humor, and intellect, generosity was an integral part J-Pa’s life. J-Pa will be happy knowing that his friends and family are helping students attain a college degree.
