Teaming Up For Traci
Donation protected
Situation: During the second week of September, while closing on and moving into her new home, Traci found out that she had liver failure. She was falling frequently and after undergoing further testing, was diagnosed with a tumor that is wrapped around her brain stem.
Background: Traci is the mother of 19 year old twins and is also a dear friend and loving daughter-in-law. She has been a nurse for several decades taking care of a vast array of patients in Connecticut and Rhode Island, including ICU burn victims of the Station fire. She has been a LDRP nurse at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for over 10 years and the clinical coordinator for the last year. Her number one priority in purchasing her new home was to make sure that her mother-in-law could live with her. She is the kindest, most generous person and would do anything to help someone in need.
Assessment: Her current health challenges have prevented her from working and severely affected her quality of life. She will need brain surgery, but unfortunately is not medically stable enough to undergo surgery at this time.
