EXTRAORDINARY EVIE

Hello my name is Elizabeth Irwin and I am the proud aunt of that sweet little girl above, Extraordinary Evie!

Evie was born October 18, 2015 with a serious case of Ebstein's anomaly. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ebsteins-anomaly/home/ovc-20199183
I would like to raise money so that Evie's mother and father can be with her when she undergoes her first open heart surgery, performed by Dr. Dearani, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. All donations will be used for any medical expenses, travel, and lodging for
three weeks. Any remaining funds will go to Evies future medical expenses.
"Extraordinary Evies" life changing surgery is scheduled for August 17, 2016. Financially, In order for everything to go smoothly. I would like to start accepting any donations as soon as possible.

From 2010 to a little over a year ago, I was surrounded by the dark streets of addiction. My addiction kept me in a hopeless state of mind and away from my family. Full self destruction was my only option. God intervened and had bigger plans. On February 25, 2015 my life changed forever. Not only was I going to rehab, my sister informed me that she was twelve weeks pregnant and I was going to be an Aunt. I was willing to hold on to the promises that God has to offer. I began seeing Gods blessings and miracles happening all around me. Everything started to make sense to me. I was able to genuinely care about other people and my family got their peace of mind back. It was a blessing to have a second chance at life. At seven months pregnant, my sister informed me about Evie's Ebstein’s and we were told that once Evie was born, they were going to have to do immediate open-heart surgery. On October 18th, 2015 Evelyn Victoria was born. By the grace of God, and after three weeks in the NICU, Evie was able to breath on her own and did not require immediate surgery. I knew it was time to suit up and show up and be apart of my sister and nieces life. As soon as I got the picture of precious little Evie lying on my sister, I knew that life was going to be ten times brighter. She was the missing puzzle piece to my broken heart. Over and over I prayed for God to watch over Evie and give her strength to push through the Ebstein’s. Evie hasn't needed surgery until now, Doctors at Mayo are surprised at how well Evie has done while having such a severe case of Ebstein's Anomaly. This is a true testimony to God's work. She is a beautiful, strong, courageous, fighter. She is one of a kind and deserves to live a full healthy life. She is a true miracle sent by God. She has beaten the odds on multiple occasions and I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Evie teaches us each and everyday to keep fighting the good fight and to not give up. She is the perfect example of EXTRAORDINARY.
There are no words to describe the gratitude we have for any donation offered. Please keep this beautiful little angel in your prayers so that she will live a full and healthy life. God bless!
