On June 10, 2023, Dave "Duff" Duffy, my best friend since childhood, suffered an Ischemic stroke. After spending several weeks in the hospital and a physical rehabilitation facility, Duff is now home to continue his physical therapy. His insurance provides for medical care however it only covers a small portion of his ongoing physical therapy sessions (to include occupational and speech therapy). His wife Stacy has arranged for a physical therapist to work with Duff three times per week in their home.  Stacy has also been meeting with contractors to modify their home to accommodate Duff’s wheelchair access. 

Duff is a true friend to many. My family regards Duff as "a brother from another mother". He's a loving husband and father of four wonderful children. They are the core of "TeamDuff". 

Growing up in Southern Maine he is a diehard fan of the Sox, Bruins, and the Celts but his first love is the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been a loyal Chiefs fan since their first Super Bowl victory in 1969.   Surrounded by Patriots fans, he endured many lean years waiting for the Chiefs to return to the top.

Duff's physical rehabilitation is only in the beginning stages and it could be a very long road to recovery. Financial assistance and donations of any amount would be very helpful and much appreciated by the family.
