Deborah is a monitor tech at St . Francis Hospital and has been there for over 20 years. She was diagnosed with cancer in January and immediately started undergoing chemo treatments, during this time she remained working as much as she could with her chemo schedule. She has been traveling back and forth between Emory Hospital in Atlanta and the John B. Amos Center here in Columbus and on May 18th she underwent a bone marrow transplant. She is currently still in the hospital and will remain there for another 2 to 3 weeks. Even when she is released she will have to remain in Atlanta for at least another month do to her aggressive treatments. Deborah has been out off work now for 2 months and as of right now is unsure of when she will return. Insurance covers most of her medical bills and meds but there are some things that are not covered and her and her family could use a little help. We (friends/family) have joined together and started this fund with hopes to help alleviate the financial strain and stress.
