For a few years now Carrollynn has suffered from headaches which slowly progressed to numbness and burning sensation to the left side of her body.  

A neurosurgeon from McAllen performed an MRI and determined that she had a tumor in the right thalamus of the brain.  She was referred to a neurosurgeon in San Antonio for a biopsy.  They diagnosed her with a Low-Grade 2 Astrocytoma. 

We chose to have a second opinion at MD Anderson, Houston, TX  

She has been diagnosed with a High- Grade 4 Gliomablastoma Astrocytoma,  a very aggressive form of brain cancer. The recommended treatment will be a  MRI guided laser ablation surgery, followed by 6 weeks of intense chemotherapy and radiation.

CJ has a heart of gold, a happy spirit and a smile that can brighten any room. She truly has a warm soul, always putting others before herself.
