My name is Desiree Reyes. I’m one of Cindy Reyes’s four daughters. This March, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones. It is non-curable and at an advanced level which will require chronic treatment to help control and/or improve it in its current stage. She is currently being treated at Memorial Hermann Cancer Center in the Medical Center and we are still in the process of going through extensive medical tests to identify the main source of the cancer to determine the type of treatment.
Since receiving this news, we have received tremendous outreach from family and friends whether its home/hospital visits, helping take her to doctor’s appointments, picking up medication, food, and recently two fundraisers were organized in her honor to help raise money for medical expenses. We can’t thank you all enough for the continued support.
I was asked by many if there is a place to donate for those who are unable to attend but would like to show their support, so I have started this Go Fund Me page on her behalf. All donations will go directly to her office copays, medications and any other medical expenses. Thank you in advance – every little bit helps and we appreciate the continued prayers and support.
