McDoodle families, we have rallied before and witnessed a miracle, and one of our own needs our help again!  Four-month-old Chompx has been fighting for his life in the intensive care unit for more than a week with a tentative diagnosis of leptospirosis (http://www.cdc.gov/leptospirosis/).  His parents did the responsible thing and got him the best pet insurance (Healthy Paws), inspired by our dear Hudson's ordeal, but the vet hospital is asking for payment upfront, and the bills are mounting.  At this point, even the "small" percentage not covered by pet insurance will be high.  The bills so far are more than $10,000 and the vet is asking for $8000 more.  Chompx's numbers have been improving so he has a fighting chance!  Let's give his family love, prayers, and support and rally together as our community is so known for doing.  Chompx's family has also been faced with human health issues at this time as well, and have three other pooches to care for while they stay strong for their little guy! 

Please know that any extra money that is raised beyond what is needed and especially once Healthy Paws sends its check, will be put aside for the next pet in need.  Also, I volunteered to set up this account so that Chompx's family could focus on his treatment.  I was not asked to do so by Chompx's family.
