As many of you have probably heard by now, one of our own has been hit a terrible blow. KT (my sister Katie) and her husband Tom, recently recieved news that their 11 year old son Brandon has Leukemia.
Many of you know KT and Tom, and even BOTH of their kids Brandon and Tommy Lynn. As you can imagine this has been devastating news. Our entire family is still trying to wrap our brains around this news of our sweet, sweet boy. However... #noonefightsalone
Brandon has been diagnosed with Pre-B cell Leaukemia (ALL not AML). His full treatment protocol is three years. The initial course of treatment will consist of five-day overnight visits, once a month, for the next eight months. During that time he'll undergo chemo (spinal and IV), labs and likely bone marrow aspirations. However... #noonefightsalone and he WILL beat this!
With that being said, Katie will not be able to work for approximately the next eight months and as you can imagine, this is going to cause an enormous financial burden. Nobody is prepared when this happens, emotionally or finanically! However... #noonefightsalone
Tommy Lynn even said she would give up playing on her ASA Softball team this summer, that this was more important. NO! There are two kids in that family and she needs to keep doing what she loves and keep living her life as normally as possible.
In continuing with the fund raiser '(Secret) Christmas in May' that we held on Facebook, I'm starting this GoFundMe to help them as they begin this long, but hopeful and courageous, journey. Because... #noonefightsalone
Thank you everyone for all of your continued support!

The next update here will be from Katie andTom themselves!!!
