Bucky Owen's Medical Fund

On June 20, 2016 who would have known that Bucky and Mona Owen's lives would change forever. Bucky wasn't feeling well so he was told to go to the doctor. They did some blood work and had signs of elevated blood levels, so the doctor sent him to the hospital where they did a CT scan and also requested an MRI test and found a 6cm brain tumor. Not what you expect to hear ever in your life. The neurologist told them that he felt it was Glioblastoma and surgery would be set for July 5, 2016. After celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary on July 4, 2016, he was admitted to the hospital for a 6 hour brain surgery to remove the tumor. After surgery Bucky was talking and trying to open his eyes after surgery. The neurologist said he got what he could see and was sending it off to pathology to have tested and the results would be back in about 4 days. After 2 days in ICU and 1 day in a regular room he was told he could go home. On July 15, 2016 he had his appointment with the neurologist to get his staples out and get the test results. Test results showed a Gliosarcoma and not Glioblastomia. He will meet with neuro oncologist August 1, 2016 to discuss radiation/chemo.
AC Owens aka Bucky is a retired City of Jackson fireman and is currently employed with Renaissance at Colony Park Mall. He is a member of Pinelake Church Clinton Campus and has a love for music.
