Beau is on his second battle with brain cancer called germinoma, it's known as a mixed germ cell tumor. His first episode at 15 yrs old was a fierce fight involving radiation, brain surgery and chemo. We thought he won the fight. However, last winter after 8 years of being cancer free, the cancer returned. He is currently receiving treatment from UCSF Benioff Childern's Hospital in San Francisco. In the spring he underwent 6 rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant and he is waiting on the results while undergoing blood transfusions, medication and phyical therapy. Beau is a warrior with a sarcastic sense of humor. He's always able to make others laugh and never takes life's ups and downs too seriously. Beau loves math, playing guitar, art, animals, golf and nature.
