I'm setting up this fundraiser to help my partner Audra receive some desperately needed medical treatment. She has been trying everything within her power to regain control of her health and feel her best, or even just begin to feel normal. She's recently learned about a stem cell therapy treatment that could finally be the step towards healing she's been searching for, but has hit a wall due to the cost of the
treatment, which requires traveling to Mexico to see the specialists who offer it.  While theoretically much less expensive than getting treatment here in the US(if it were even available), it is still currently impossible for us to afford it on our own. 



Already having survived thyroid cancer 27 years ago, Audra has since battled a multitude of health issues.  This includes being diagnosed  with Chronic Fatigue, Idiopathic Hypersomnia, Reactivated Epstein Barr, Chronic Inflammation Response Syndrome, Mitochondrial
Dysfunction, and Mycotoxicosis (Mold Poisoning).   She has seen countless MDs, NDs, Acupuncturists, Endocrinologists and ENTS without relief, and has done everything her health team has suggested, including various therapeutic treatments, dietary changes, sleep studies, as well as an exhaustive list of medications and supplements, and despite this, has never been able to feel healthy or experience a pain-free life. In fact, Audra's health has only deteriorated, getting steadily worse over the course of the 7 years we've been together. 

Her most incapacitating symptoms are present on a daily basis, and make normal everyday life extremely challenging; Episodes of fatigue
so extreme that she often has to lie down to rest after doing small things like showering or unloading the dishwasher; debilitating brain
fog/cognitive decline to the point where she suddenly can't remember common words, birthdays, and even her own address; excessive sleepiness to the point where she physically can't stay awake no matter how hard she tries; post-exertional exhaustion which makes working a challenge; and chronic inflammation that causes her to be in pain almost 24/7. 



Despite all of these hardships, which are already more than any one person should have to take on,  Audra has managed to make several amazing achievements, earning credentials as a certified PT and Basi Pilates instructor, and has dedicated herself to helping others toward feeling their best. She's one of the kindest, most caring people I've ever met, and I just want her to be able to feel as good as she deserves to feel. This procedure could be the key to making that a reality.

Stem Cell Therapy is an experimental immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, regenerative medicine that has helped improve the lives of the majority of patients who receive it, and works to correct an incredible variety of ailments using relatively non-invasive procedures. Audra has found a top-level practitioner in Mexico that will provide the therapy for a fraction of the cost of treatment where we live. In the US, if it were readily available, this procedure would be upwards of $60,000. The $8000 we're trying to raise here would cover all of her treatments, including multiple trips back for follow-ups. This means that some semblance of hope could actually be attainable, instead of being so prohibitively expensive that even a fundraiser like this would be a long shot. With your help, she would be access this potentially life-changing treatment and actually begin to feel better for the first time in decades.
