I started this campaign for my freinds, please take the time to read and share.
Atticus is a strong little boy who has perservered through life altering diffculties. With such a strong name who would hvae tought refractory epilepsy would be what tears this little boy apart? Suffering from sub-clinical seizures 24/7, this sleep deprived angel fights hard everyday through these heart wrenching seizures thats are clustered up to 30 tonic seizures within a 5 minute time frame. People who have seen a child seize understand that every second seems like minutes and every minute feels like hours. It's been a year and a half since Atticus has had seizure control, That's 548 days, 13,152 hours, 10,960 seizures and counting. There has been 9 failed meds, and Atticus is inoperable as he has no focal point or origin for the seizures. He has lost the ability to walk, eat and even understand the simplest directions or instructions. Atticus is confined to a pediatric wheel chair, fed directly into his stomach by a G-Tube and functions at a early age of infancy (Atticus is 3).
I started this campaign for my friends and their little boy to try and raise money for him and them. Melissa (his mother) hasn't worked since Atticus was born. Terence (Atticus' father) works, but his income alone is not enough. Financially they aren't in the best situation. Most of his medical equiptment is covered by the government, but a lot of his meds aren't, not to mention his CBD, which is $500 per month all on it's own.
This little boys expenses never end, and as he gets older, his needs get more expensive.
We appreicate any donation that you make to help these wonderful people give their son the life he deserves.
Much Love,
Team Atticus
