Update on Archie, March ‘24,
Archie's cancer for now can't be cured. But the hope is they can keep finding things to keep it stable and give him more quality time. We are continuing with this chemo for now. Cycle 5 starts Monday. We will probably do all 12 cycles if Archie stays ok with it and next scans look ok. We had a big discussion around taking stem cells for future possibility of Mibg therapy but for now this is on hold for various reasons and we are not making any of these decisions easily. Archie is the most important person in all of this and that will never change. Seeing him in school, out playing, at football matches and gaming in between cycles are all what he needs and it helps us focus on this very difficult journey. After the 12 cycles we don't know what will happen but having no form of chemo or drug going into his body won't be an option as the disease is just to aggressive. As always we are hopeful that this continues to work and Archie's team will be ready with what ever is needed next xx

We have been friends with Joanne, Paul, Eva & Archie Sinclair for almost 10 years, we have known Archie since he was a baby, here is their story…

In Feb 2017 the Sinclair family received the worst news any family could get, that their child at age 3 had Neuroblastoma, a rare and serious form of childhood cancer

Archie had to attend Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital, unable to walk due to the pain in his legs. Extensive tests followed where they discovered the cancer was spreading through his tiny body.

He underwent numerous different treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, stem cell treatment, immunotherapy and an operation to remove the tumour. Archie went into remission and even got to ring that bell saying he was cancer free at the end of 2019.

Sadly, they received the devastating news that Archie had relapsed at the start of May 2021 and started treatment again, which he took in his stride, and was clear again the following May.

Heartbreakingly his neuoroblastoma has relapsed for a third time. The plan for treatment has started, the first round wasn’t as straightforward as we all hoped which meant Archie spent two weeks in hospital, along with Joanne & Paul. The current treatment is a combined treatment of chemotherapy and immunotherapy which could last up to a year.

Archie is a real life superhero, and amazes us all everyday with his courage, positivity, strength, resilience, humour and cheeky smile.

We have set up this page to raise some money to help with travelling for treatments, and to help them as a family to keep creating memories.

All donations no matter how big or small will help to make a positive difference. We know times are tough for everyone just now with the cost of living crisis, but it is especially hard for families living with cancer. If you can donate please consider doing so. Thank you on behalf of #TeamArchie❤️
