Team 5401 World Championship Trip
Donation protected
We are FIRST Robotics Team 5401: The Fightin' Robotic Owls out of Bensalem High School in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. We have qualified for the FIRST Robotics World Champtionships in St. Louis Missouri April 27-30th .
FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology and was founded by Segway inventor, Dean Kamen. It combines the excitement of a sporting event with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, student run teams are challenged to raise funds, hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get, with professional mentors volunteering their time and talents to guide each team.
In order to attend the FIRST World Championship, we need to raise funds for transportation, hotel rooms and meals. Our team of dedicated, passionate students has worked incredibly hard these past 15 weeks to qualify for the championship, and it would mean the world to us to be able to attend and compete but we can't without your donations. Any amount that you can donate toward this cause would be greatly appreciated. Any funds raised beyond what is needed for the trip, if any, would go toward our team's mission of expanding STEM education in Lower Bucks County.
Although we have three reward levels, any and all contriutions over $5 are welcome and because we fundraise through the Bensalem Education Foundation, ALL contributions are tax deductible.
