Whitney Moore

Whitney Moore, 34, of Old Fort, is in the ICU unit at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville on a ventilator suffering from testing positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 26 and an ongoing battle with an autoimmune disease called Common Variable Immunity Deficiency.  This autoimmune disease is a private struggle she has dealt with for many years, but most recently this year underwent chemotherapy. It is a disease that affects her lungs of which she has to take weekly infusions. She basically makes no antibodies on her own, which is why it was critical we protect her from Covid-19. However, it happened, but if we all know anything about Whitney is that she is a fighter who has a strong belief in her Lord and her Jesus. She has one of the biggest hearts for her school, family, friends, church, community and students!
