Walker is your typical 12 year old boy he loves playing basketball, hanging out with his friends, playing outside, camping, fishing, spending time with his family. Then 2 days ago he went to the doctor for a stomach ache. The doctor took an xray, and blood work, and said he was constipated. Told his mother (Trinity), what to give him, and sent them home.
Shortly after Trinity received a phone call from the doctors office telling her she needed to come back immediately they had his test results and would not discuss them over the phone. Upon arriving at the doctors office they were taken into a conferrence room where they were given news that no parent should ever hear. Walker has leukemia and needs immediate treatment. They were told to go the hosital where an ambulance will transport him to Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Since being at Riley's Walker has undergone 2 surgeries to remove fluid from his lungs, and around his heart. He was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. They began Chemotherapy last night. Today he is sleeping, they had to sedate him due to the amount of pain he is in. Walker is looking at having to stay at Riley's for 4 weeks. At which time they will then see if he is able to go home, and return for treatments.
Both of his parents (Kevin & Trinity) are with him. They have enough to worry about. So I'm asking for donations to help with their travel expenses, food, and household expenses while they are by their sons side.
No amount is too small, if you are unable to donate please share this. Thank you for everything!
