We’re Naveen and Crystal, also known as Team V

This September, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re taking on a new challenge together: riding a combined 500 miles to support The Pablove Foundation and pediatric cancer research.

For us, these miles are deeply personal. Our daughter, Keira, was diagnosed with cancer and Opsoclonus-Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS) in 2010, when she was just 18 months old. In those early days, we were overwhelmed — terrified by what we didn’t know and devastated by the rarity of her diagnosis. But even in the darkest moments, we knew we wanted to do more than hope for answers.

We wanted to help find them.

When we were in the hospital grappling with the terrifying possibility that our daughter might not have the future we dreamed for her, we made a promise: no matter her outcome, we would do whatever we could to help find answers for this rare disease and for other families facing childhood cancer.

That promise is what first put Team V on our bikes.

In 2012, we joined Pablove Across America, and it gave us a way to channel our fear, grief, love, and determination into something that could help change the future — for Keira and for other children and families. We’ve been riding and raising money for research ever since.

Today, Keira is thriving in so many ways. She is smart, funny, strong, and deeply loved. But OMS has been part of her life longer than it hasn’t, and it remains a constant presence. That reality continues to fuel our determination to educate others about childhood cancer and OMS and to support the researchers searching for better answers.

This year, in the spirit of Pablove Across America, we’re bringing the challenge home as part of Pop-Up Pablove 2026.

Throughout September, Team V will ride a combined 500 miles, with every mile dedicated to the work of The Pablove Foundation and to children like Keira.

Pablove funds bold, innovative pediatric cancer research while also bringing creativity and joy into the lives of children living with cancer. We have seen firsthand how important this work is — and how much progress can begin when a community of people decides to act.

That’s why we’re asking you to ride alongside us in spirit by supporting Team V. Your donation, no matter the amount, helps fuel research, uncover better treatments and new insights, creating real hope for children and families facing childhood cancer and rare diseases like OMS.

Every mile we ride carries the promise we made all those years ago.

500 miles. Two riders. One promise that began with our daughter —
and a commitment to keep riding toward answers. Please consider making a donation and helping us make every mile count.

With love and gratitude,
Team V (Crystal, Naveen, Keira and Akemi)
