Team Up to Help Petra Fight Cancer

Family and friends, 

My sister-in-law, Petra Davis, was recently diagnosed with advanced Endometrial Cancer. Petra is a loving mother, supportive wife, stubborn daughter, hilarious sister-in-law, and a loyal friend. Petra is the heart and soul of her family. I have created this Go Fund Me page to help support my brother’s family - David, Petra, Cierra (24) and Wyatt (19) - as Petra begins her cancer treatment. 

For those of you who know David and Petra, you know that they are a team. Not only is Petra my brother’s life partner, she is also his business partner. Together they own and operate Fitness by Design - Carmel. Faced with this diagnosis and the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, together they continue to navigate these rocky waters to keep their business running smoothly.

Although Petra’s diagnosis is devastating, those of you who know Petra know that she kicks ass. Whether it is motivating her clients to push harder, cheering on Wyatt as he continues his swimming career and begins his studies as a freshman at the University of Michigan, rooting for Cierra’s continued success as she tackles the challenges of nursing school at Ball State University, or volunteering as a swim official to be on deck with her kids as they competed for Carmel Swim Club...Petra is a force. She will bring to this fight her hardworking, focused, bad-assed self.

Our role, as friends of the Davis Family, is to be their support team. This Go Fund Me drive will help my brother’s family cover medical and associated expenses allowing Petra to focus on her treatment. Any monies leftover after paying for these expenses will be donated to cancer research in the Davis Family name.
